Combine a thermal Tempack Rigid Cold Pack with an isothermal box or insulated container and you have a complete, high-performance, cold chain logistics solution — and one that is robust enough for shipping all manner of temperature-sensitive products.
Organisations that transport food, plants or chemical products, and other temperature-sensitive products like pharmaceuticals, vaccines, reagents, serums, insulin, samples, all require refrigerated temperatures for the transit of their goods.
The integrity of these shipments will rely partly, but significantly, on the performance of their temperature-controlled cooling elements. The key to the Tempack positive thermal cold pack lies in its use of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and eutectic gel. Rigid HDPE offers excellent resistance to breakage and compression. A tough, recyclable plastic, it has an outstanding strength-to-density ratio which provides excellent impact-, puncture- and tear-resistance, even during rigorous handling. It also enables reuse.
HDPE’s strength guarantees the resilience and stability of the eutectic gel, while the gel itself prevents the cold pack from buckling. In its cold pack format, the gel improves thawing time, absorbing heat and ensuring a more stable temperature release. Its shape is designed to optimise the heat exchange surface of the cooling gel. This isothermal cold pack should be frozen at -20°С at least 24 hours before use to obtain maximum performance. This will ensure extended temperature-controlled shipment stability for up to 120 hours.
Everything in the Tempack, temperature-controlled, rigid cold pack has been engineered to maintain products at chilled or refrigerated temperatures of +2° to +8°C throughout the cold chain. This product can be produced in customised sizes for large quantities. Current formats are ranging from 200cc right up to 4,100cc.
